new Affection Play song

As I may have mentioned before, I'm not only a cartoonist and illustrator, but also a singer/keyboarder/songwriter in a sort-of amateurish alternative-rock band called Affection Play. Because of some personell changes and because we had a hard time finding an affordable studio for recording new material, we haven't really put out a lot of music in the last few years, neither live nor recorded. Hopefully, that's going to change now. To start things off, we just uploaded our first official single "Intelligent People Are Rarely Happy", which you can listen to right here:

It's a "pre-release" version and not a final mix, which is why we're not offering a download at this time. Once our entire album/EP/whatever is finished in a couple of weeks/months, a download option of some kind will become available. In the meantime, you can listen to this one online. Let me know what you think!

The main reason why we're putting this song out right now is that we have a live gig in two weeks (nov. 30). It's an aids benefit concert with some other cool bands such as Munich indie sensation Pardon Ms. Arden. I'd love for you to stop by if you're in or around Munich, Germany! Get more info at our facebook event.

Here's another look at the "cd cover" I designed:
